Dependent is a pendant luminaire that balances work and leisure at home. It comes with two light sources to meet the needs of someone working from home. The scenario takes place by the dining table, a versatile space where we gather to share food and laughters but also to complete our work tasks. Being at home while working is a distraction by itself because you can do the laundry or prepare a dinner while finishing your article. Dependent provides you with both ambient and task light and lets you choose your preferred light at the moment.

Both lights are twisted around an axis but in opposite directions. This way, when pulling down the task light for work mode the ambient light goes up and vice versa. A playful and symbolic interaction of the scenario of working from home.
